World renowned fiddle and banjo player John Carty visits Sydney with Melbourne based daughter Maggie on banjo and vocals.
A previous TG4 Traditional Musician of the Year, John has recorded and toured extensively as a solo artist and with Matt Malloy, At the Racket and Patrick Street while more recently he arranged the traditional music pieces in the highly acclaimed film Brooklyn.
Maggie arrived in Australia as INA Musician in residence in 2017 and has since supported Altan and played the Australian festival scene.
This is a rare opportunity to see father and daughter perform together and a great way to kick off your St Patrick’s Day weekend.
