Members of the Committee of the Irish National Association are deeply involved in Irish culture and arts, and have many links with the Irish community in Sydney and around Australia.
President: Ken O’Neill
Ken O’Neill brings over 25 years’ professional experience to the INA Committee. A Chartered Professional Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Australia, he is an owner in a major engineering consultancy and has deep expertise in governance and risk management. Ken is well connected across NSW’s Irish community and is a committed advocate for traditional Irish music and culture. An Irish bouzouki/guitar player, he regularly performs sessions and concerts with his band Kejafi.
Vice President: Dr Enda Murray
Dr Enda Murray hails from Drogheda in County Louth. His creative and academic work spans his interest in culture, community and social change.
Enda has written, produced and directed TV and radio content for RTE, BBC, ABC, SBS, NITV and Maori TV. In 2015 he founded the Irish Australian Film Festival which now screens annually across Australia.
He has a strong interest in Irish culture and the Irish community in Australia.
Secretary: Julie Ross
Julie Ross, the daughter of a Donegal father, migrated to Australia as a toddler and is a respected leader in NSW public education with more than 25 years’ experience. She has extensive involvement in the NSW Teachers Federation and Unions NSW, and a strong history of community advocacy focused on improving facilities and opportunities for young people across Sydney through partnerships with local councils.
Treasurer: Karl Kinsella
Karl Kinsella has 25 years’ senior management experience in the not-for-profit sector working with CEOs, Boards and Committees.
This experience includes fundraising, philanthropy and marketing.
Karl has a strong interest and passion for Irish music, history, culture and communities and has been involved with the INA for 15 years.
