Concertina teacher Mairéad Hurley with junior fleadh participants
The Junior Fleadh is a fun way for kids to learn and play Irish music. It’s free and takes place four times a year on a Sunday afternoon. Some yummy food is provided and parents can also attend.
At the fleadh children can learn some simple tunes with a couple of different teachers. Whistles are provided for new learners, and traditional Irish instruments are demonstrated. Children can join in an easy music session, and can also also learn some simple Irish dance steps.
